Congratulations to our Interns – 2019 who did a stupendous job on bringing the awareness on Prevention Of Cerebral Palsy.

They presented their learnings at Divyashree Elan Homes, Adarsh Palm Retreat and Dharmasagara First Grade College.

What we do:

Sanmitra Trust Bangalore, started in the year 2013, a volunteer run organisation, and are working towards a social cause in bringing awareness on Prevention of Cerebral Palsy.

As you agree, people are unaware of the causes and impact on the economy of the families if they have a kid with CP condition. Also kids with this condition are deprived of normal life. Once the condition occurs there is no treatment and kid wl be dependant 24×7, if early intervention is not done. Hence prevention is the only cure.

In order to address this issues, we conducted surveys in rural and urban areas and have made a social stigma documentary and also few educative videos which covers the causes and preventive methods adviced by Gynaecologist, peadiatrician and a social reformer. We are extensively working on the importance of early intervention and inclusive education for these kids.

With an increase in incident rate of CP cases in India, we would like to reach out to a wider audience to spread the awareness on this niche area which is the need of the hour.

As part of the activity of our foundation, we educate young adults through internship programs and use them as a media to reach out to a wider audience. Currently a bunch of young adults are geared up and they like to share their experience .
